There is a fairly new type a footwear that has been conquering the market since the early 2000s. They are based on a patented foam resin called Croslite. The manufacturers wanted to make a shoe that is light and which will behave well both in water and on land. This is the way Croc flip flops were born.

The material involved is odor resistant, significantly reducing typical foot smell that occurs when we wear slippers and sandals. The shape of the shoe is ergonomic, literally hugging the feet. Due to the foamy nature of the building material, Croc shoes are very light. Moreover, their protuberance-fitted soles massage the feet while walking, stimulating blood circulation.

The manufacturers address the whole range of customers: women, men and children. In time, they branched into the sandals market. Nowadays production also includes a wide range of accessories that can be attached to the shoes themselves, or can be worn separately. These are called Jibbitz.

There are different types of Croc shoes. Categories common to both sexes are: Clogs, Crocband, Sandals, Flip-Flops, Boots, Shoes, Medical, Slip-Ons, Sport, Work, Prepair and Ocean Minded. Women-only shoe categories include: Flats, YOU by Crocs and Heels & Wedges. A men-only category is NCAA.

Some popular types of women’s sandals are Athens, Capri and Modi and they are currently part of an offer. According to discount rules, if you want a second pair, you will pay only half for it.

More recently, the company started branching out into the apparel field, with a small line of T-shirts under the Ocean Minded brand, which promotes ecological-friendly attitudes.

From a pricing point of view, Crocs are fairly inexpensive, while being durable. For instance, in the Crocband category for men, the Crocband Flip stands with $24.99 at the lower end and the Crocband Snicker with $74.99 at the higher end. Women’s Hills and Wedges start at $27 with the Del Mar model and end with the Jackers and Exitosa high-heel boots at $199.99.

Here’s an interesting thing about the Jibbitz. In the commercial world it’s well known that differences count. People like to display their individuality and do not want to all look the same. This is the whole basis for accessories. The Crocs material is very conducive to add-ons. Most shoes have standard size holes, which allow for easy attaching and removing of charms and so on. There is a wide array of Jibbitz, which can be arranged in an endless number of combinations. This way, no two pair of shoes will look alike. Generally, Jibbitz appeal mostly to children. Some of the categories include:

- 3D: Dropped Ice Cream Cone, Crab, Triceratops Green, Buzz Rocket

- animals: Rhinestone Shelley, Rhinestone Oink, Unicorn, Butterfly & Flower, Dragon Wave

- beach: Ariel, Dolphin, Whale, Locals Only Surfboard, Scuba Mask, Sunglasses-Heart

A bit of trivia: the Crocs name comes from crocodile, which is amphibious in nature and behaves well both in water and on land.

In conclusion, Croc flip flops are affordable, practical, really comfortable and light, making them an easy-choice footwear, which can serve you well both at home and in your travels.
